I rather have the current free snack and a drink for shorter flights and flights that aren’t during breakfast or dinner, but also having buy onboard options during breakfast and lunch like they’re used to
And if I can’t have both, then the old way is better

Back then (many years ago) there was no such thing as buy on board
It was included in the ticket fare
Now airlines need every possible way to make more money
