And AA doesn’t fly 777-300s. That was a 777-300ER which is not the same.

It’s like saying an A330-300 is a -200.

It still doesn’t change the fact that the 777-300 and the 777-300ER were developed and entered service separately to serve different markets.

Isn’t it already implied that it’s an ER? Like I’ll be called out for saying A350-900 when it’s actually an A350-900XWB or ULR

It’s different.
Just “A350-900” is fine if the plane’s not an ULR because all A350s are XWBs but not all A350-900s are of the ULR variant.
