If the max or 777x aren’t classic but others in the family are, how is the 767-400 a classic

“Because it’s part of the 767 family” but the max is the 737 family and 777X is in the 777 family

Yes but the 767-400 is really only updated wingtips and cockpit instruments.

It’s still a classic in its configuration
Just like when the 757/767 got winglets. It’s no different. And the 757/767 have updated cockpits too now

Just because Boeing still makes the 767-300 today doesn’t mean it isn’t a classic at its roots
